A Micro-Adventure

Two Night Getaway at Pine River Paddlesports Center

I spent two nights tucked away in a rustic cabin at PRPS campground--a peaceful retreat surrounded by woods and the calming rhythm of nature. The cabin, simple and cozy, was just what I, and my sister needed. A maintained trail, The Deer Trail, led me down to the Pine River, where I took time to hike, reflect, and soak in the quiet beauty of the landscape.

While the cabin was the heart of the trip, I also guided my sister to explore local gems nearby; Silver Creek Trail, and Coyote Crossings Restaurant.

The Silver Creek Trail loop offered a 5 mile beatiful walk through varied terrain--lush woods, winding paths, and that perfect blend of solitude and connection to the wild.

We also treated ourselves to a delicious pizza at Coyote Crossings, a local favorite with a great atmosphere, and if you're visiting on the weekend, they also host live music! These are both just a short drive from camp!

This was a much-needed pause--a reminder of how healing a rustic cabin, a forest trail, and quiet time can be.

The campground offers so much more!
